Summer is here! And I’m welcoming summer extra this year after a year of virtual learning! Whether your kids did hybrid, in person, or virtual/homeschool- we did it, parents!!
I love sitting down with my kids at the beginning of the summer and creating a summer bucket list! (here’s a fun one you can download) From the smallest things- like make s’mores- to bigger adventures- it’s a fun activity for all ages to pitch in and feel involved!
Family Summer Bucket List
Make s’mores
Fire pit
Movie in the backyard
Zoo
Library and do the summer reading challenge
Swim swim swim!
Bake cookies and other treats
Explore different parks
Make friendship bracelets
Take a day road trip
Paint at a local pottery place
Water balloon fight
Make homemade ice cream
Mini golf
Eat all the watermelon
Camp in the backyard
The kids love taking turns writing their ideas down in list form. As we complete an item they love crossing it off! They also like decorating it and then we hang the list up in the kitchen so we can see it all summer. It’s fun to see what we get crossed off and while we might not get to them all, it’s a fun activity and gives me ideas on days when we need something to do.
So, here’s to towel and swimsuit laundry days, sunscreen and bug spray, and hopefully lots of s’mores summer days!
