Move over Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, February 13, is what we’re excited about this year!

It’s a day dedicated to ladies celebrating ladies. This year, take time to tell your besties how much they mean to you, share some love with your gal pals, and treat your mom friends to something special. Galentine’s Day is about investing in friendships. Now more than ever, we need our tribe!

In the words of Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec, “it’s only the best day of the year.”

5 Ways to Celebrate Galentine’s Day

1. Treat Her to Something Special

To help you celebrate your lady friends, we teamed up with some of our favorite local businesses to create an exclusive Galentine’s Day box! Boxes start at $37.50 and include Rosie + Jean earrings, a cute dishtowel from Doe a Deer, a can of sangria from Jasper Winery, macaroons from Sift and Sprinkle, and a charcuterie cup from Sisters in Cheese. Order a box for your girlfriend (or yourself!) by February 7. Get all the details here

2. Deliver a Fun Surprise

Who doesn’t love a surprise cup of coffee or something tasty to eat? Brighten your bestie’s day with something special to show her how much she means to you.

3. Send a sweet card, text, or message.

Take a minute to tell her how much she means to you and what a great mom she is. Write it in a card, a text message, or voice message.  Encourage her with kind words and remind her that she’s amazing. Words have so much power to uplift!

4. Host a brunch

If you’re comfortable gathering in person, plan a morning to get together and eat a meal (with no kids or husbands around!). Celebrate your friendship and relax together!

5. Have a virtual happy hour

If you can’t get together in person, find a time to connect online. Put the kids to bed, pour yourself a drink, and catch up on the phone or over video. This is also a great way to reconnect with friends who don’t live nearby! Embrace technology and reconnect with old friends.

The best friends are the ones who don’t care how messy your house is or if you haven’t washed your hair. You can laugh together and cry together and share your highs and lows with each other. However you choose to celebrate, tell them how much they mean to you!

Are you doing anything for Galentine’s Day?
