We were thrilled to host Babes + Babies: An Event for New & Expecting Moms VIRTUALLY on Sunday, October 25.
Babes + Babies was an event for women who are currently expecting, adopting, fostering or who have become a parent to an infant in the past year.
Babes + Babies was a virtual experience to keep everyone as safe as possible while COVID-19 continues to be a threat, moms were provided with excellent resources and enjoyment of an event, and they got to enjoy this event from the comfort of their home!
Moms picked up the amazing swag bags pictured above through a contactless drive-through. Then they wore their comfiest leggings and enjoyed their favorite seat in the house while hearing from local experts. They learned about baby brands and enjoyed swag and giveaways. Babes + Babies was specifically geared for parents who are currently expecting, adopting, fostering, or who became a mother in the past year.
We had so much fun interacting with all of the new and expecting moms, and were ecstatic about the information we were able to give them during our first VIRTUAL event!

We’re expecting! In December 2020, MercyOne will open a new Maternity & Infants’ Care Center at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center. The unit will be located on the 7th floor of the hospital and will include the western suburb’s first Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
