What the Watkins Eat for Dinner

0

Today I’m finishing up my What the Watkins Eat series with a couple of our favorite dinner recipes and resources. It’s not easy making meals with whole foods, from scratch. I get that. But having a plan and options to choose from seems to make things a little simpler.

Here are a few of the websites and blogs we frequent in our house:

DrAxe.com

nomnompaleo.com

paleOMG.com

elanaspantry.com

Here are a couple meal plan subscriptions that we use as well:

Typically, we have tacos one evening a week. We get our meat from a local farmer and then add Trader Joe’s Taco Mix, cut up some lettuce, slice up some avocado, get some canned salsa with vegetables from my mother’s garden, and make a salad or use the Garden of Eatin’ taco shells.

Another standard in our house is Chicken Fingers with Sweet Potato Fries.

I used to have a really hard time getting my kids to eat fish. They devour these Salmon Patties without any fight. Pair them up with a side of veggies and you’re set.

Before I tried these Big-O Bacon Burgers, I never considered myself a burger fan. Now, I’m hooked, and my kids ask for these many times a week.

As the weather starts to chill some and the leaves begin to think about changing, our minds start to go to soups. Our favorite is Paleo Crock Pot Chili. And the best part? You can make this ahead of time, go about your day, and come home to an amazing dinner, ready to go.
