Get your fancy clothes out and join in to celebrate the New Year with a Toddler Prom. Enjoy a noon balloon drop, take pictures at the selfie station, and dance.
Countdown to Noon at Warrior Lanes | Waukee
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Get your lane now for their annual New Year’s Eve party. You’ll get 2 hours of glow bowling and shoes for up to 5 guests, a large single-topping pizza, a pitcher of soda, party favors, and a special countdown at Noon. Mom-approved music and alcohol-free!
Noon Year’s Eve | Science Center of Iowa
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Join for activities, and experiences and share in their official countdown to welcome 2024 with the infamous balloon drop to celebrate the new year at the family-friendly time of NOON! Activities are included with general admission. Tickets are limited, so we recommend reserving in advance.
New Year’s Eve Pops: Cirque de la Symphonie | Des Moines Civic Center
8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Expect the unexpected when world-renowned Cirque performers take the stage with the Orchestra – from gravity-defying aerials and acrobatics to jaw-dropping contortion and quick-change – all choreographed to thrilling symphonic music. Ring in the new year with an electrifying evening of entertainment as these incredible artists swing from the rafters of the Civic Center!
BLACK LIGHT New Year’s Eve: Neon Champagne Love | Painting with a Twist
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Are you ready to GLOW? Psychedelic fun under black light! They go dark and provide you with everything you need to enjoy the black light experience. Your masterpiece can be painted either in a regular fashion or in the “glow in the dark” fashion.

Kid’s Noon Year’s Eve Party | Pathway Church, Johnston

Bring the kids to celebrate and count down the new year! Come at 10:30 a.m. to enjoy carnival games, play laser tag, make fun crafts, eat yummy snacks, and join the dance party as we bring in the new year (12 hours early)!
New Year’s at Noon | Des Moines Children’s Museum

Kid’s New Year’s Eve Party | Big Grove Brewery
1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ring in 2024 with a kid-friendly dance party and celebration. Enjoy popcorn, kids bop, snacks, and a balloon drop at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. with your littles! The event is free but seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
