Food Partners

The Poké Company

The Poké Company brought mini poké bowls. The Poké Company has taken their poké bowls and applied a fast-casual model to it with some flexibility. Fresh veggies, a variety of sauces, a variety of rice (or salad) options, salmon, as well as cooked chicken and shrimp and tofu (and hopefully beef soon).

Ideally, they try to bring very health-conscious dining to the “fast food” price point and speed. Their store experience is much like what you would expect from walking into a build your own style restaurant, but a bit more Japanese inspired, healthier, and with a concerted effort to serve those with difficult dietary restrictions (vegan, keto, gluten, dairy, soy, etc…). The Poké Company is a great healthy option for any lunch or dinner date!

Fong’s Pizza

Fong’s Pizza offered their popular pizzas including honey garlic and crab rangoon. Fong’s opened in January 2009 by a group of local owners. The previous restaurant in the downtown location was King-Ying-Low, Des Moines’ oldest Chinese restaurant since 1908. It inspired the Asian influence in Fong’s menu and decor.

Are you looking for a unique experience? Picture a ‘frozen in time’ dive bar offering Asian-inspired pizzas and appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. We also offer gluten-free and vegan selections. Be sure to try a tasty tiki drink or one of our delicious beers, many of which are brewed here in Iowa. Our fun-loving staff is here to show you a great time as you explore Fongolian territory.

Molly’s Cupcakes

Molly’s Cupcakes offered delicious mini cupcakes. Miss Molly: Molly was my third-grade teacher. Whenever one of us had a birthday, she would bake us cupcakes. I still remember how good they were. She had her own special recipe for chocolate and vanilla. Just about every
one who tries them thinks they’re the best cupcakes ever.

In honor of Molly and as a way to help our children, a portion of their profits is donated directly to schools in our community. Every time you eat a cupcake or sip a latte, you help our kids. So eat up!

Cookies By Sugar Momma

Cookies by Sugar Momma created delicious and beautiful sugar cookies.

Whenever she was invited to an event people would ask her to bring her cookies. This always was followed by “you should sell these” and one day she decided to take the leap. Her mother was a Home Economics teacher and she is using what she taught me to make her cookie dough into $ dough! Call her to set up a consultation on cookies for your next event!

Scratch Cupcakery

Scratch Cupcakery was originally opened in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in June 2010.

Scratch isn’t a franchise. They’re locally grown and they partner with other locally grown businesses. They  employ more than 150 people aged 17-70+. They train our staff from the ground up. They aren’t perfect, but they love the adventure.

Scratch was born from a love of making people smile. They experiment in the kitchen constantly.  In all of that testing and baking, they learn about their customers. They learn your likes and dislikes. They learn about your lives and families and events. You’ve brought them into your life and allowed them to share in some of your most favorite moments. They love making you smile… Follow them on Facebook.
