What’s a Mommy Meet-Up?

One of our main goals at DMMB is to provide regular opportunities for moms to connect. We offer monthly playdates and other quarterly events to help you connect with others.

Thanks to Merle Hay Mall, we are beginning a weekly meet up/walking group –  which is simply an opportunity for local moms to get together, laugh, share stories, offer support, lose some calories, and gain lasting friends. Bring your strollers, walk the mall, and maybe indulge in a little retail therapy before you go home. After a long week of wrangling kids, you deserve it!

When and Where?

Thanks to your feedback, Mommy Meet-Ups will happen every Tuesday evening from 6pm-8pm and Thursday morning from 9am-11am. Come for the whole time or come for a few laps.

These days/times are open and come as you can. There’s no RSVP needed and you’re essentially on your own and can go at your own pace.

Begin at the children’s play area near the East Entrance off Merle Hay Road then decide as a group which direction to go. One lap around the mall is approximately 1 mile.

Everyone Welcome

The more the merrier so grab your girls and get to the mall. This is a perfect opportunity to meet those mamas you see often or connect with a long lost friend. This Tuesday evening/Thursday morning schedule will begin Tuesday, February 4th and continue until further notice.

Benefits

Besides the obvious mom-time and opportunity to meet others, walking at Merle Hay Mall has many benefits. They offer ramps and stairs to burn more calories. Forgot an item (shoes, towels, bottles of water)? These items can be purchased within Merle Hay Mall. Don’t want to drag your bulky stroller along? You can rent a single or double for just $3 or $5. Additionally, Merle Hay Mall has first aid kits and an AED in case of an emergency. Visit the play area afterward and let the kiddos run-off their energy, too!
