bathtub full of water and orange slices. pamper yourself. Des Moines MomAmong your duties as a mom making meals, arranging play dates, and generally caring for the health of your family (and in a pandemic), you may forget to take time for yourself. It’s time to reward yourself for getting through the holidays and making it to 2022!

Here are some ideas to pamper yourself or splurge. You deserve it!

Pamper

Treat yourself to a facial, a pedicure, or a massage. I like Coachlight Spa because of its extra amenities.

If you are on a budget, you can always carve out time for an at-home spa day. Pour a glass of wine, put on Norah Jones, and take a bubble bath with some items from Buff City Soap.

Splurge

After the holidays, some moms don’t spend money in the month of January. If you have made it through (or not), give yourself a reward and splurge! I like to reward myself for milestones with Kendra Scott earrings, fresh makeup options, or soft leggings. If you’re not ready to splurge go exploring at a local thrift shop

Do Nothing

Let’s face it, sometimes the biggest splurge and pamper for moms is peace. I remember embracing the slow-down the pandemic brought us, and have tried to force myself into those breaks that restore my soul.

Curl up with a book, start a knitting project, binge your favorite show. Set up a child swap with a fellow mom or trade alone time with your partner.

What do you like to do to reward, splurge, or pamper yourself?
