Fish Fries in Des Moines 2024

FISH FRIES DES MOINESIt’s fish fry time!

Lenten Fridays begin on February 16 and run through March 22.

Though associated with the Christian time of prayer and fasting before Easter, Lent also means that fish fries pop up every Friday around the metro. They are open to the public and feature various types of fish preparations and sides. Join your local community or carry out if you’d rather eat at home.

Check out our guide to where you can find fish fries in Des Moines, plus we’ve included a few of our favorite restaurants that serve fish on Fridays during Lent.
