There is so much to do at this outdoor Downtown Des Moines event. The Market offers a variety of attractions and activities, including shopping for fresh produce, eggs, meats, and more throughout the streets of Downtown DSM. Make that summer supper or get-together meal-prep shopping list easy and grab all your fresh food needs at The Market.

Grab a Meal

Hungry? Come down and eat breakfast. The Market provides ample seating options. Take a load off and eat great food as you watch local live music performances. It’s a casual and fun space for you to hang out with family and friends as you enjoy the entertainment throughout the morning. Make sure to check The Market’s website each week to see what vendors and performers will be on-site and plan your visit accordingly.

Farmers' MktIf your shopping list is long, make sure you stop by The Market information booth at 3rd and Court Ave and grab one of the Fresh Pickings Wagons sponsored by Iowa Food and Family to help you carry everything back to the car with ease. The Market staff can also assist you with any questions that you may have about vendors, musicians, and more.

Give back to the community through the Meals from the Market program sponsored by First Interstate Bank. They accept fresh food donations from vendors and patrons each week and distribute them to local food pantries. Visit their tent next to The Market information booth to learn more about that program and sign up for a volunteer shift.

The Market takes place each Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon from May through September and 8 a.m. to noon in October in the Historic Court District in #downtownDSM! We’re planning our visit right now! Will we see you there? #marketDSM
