Who doesn’t love a good birth story? No matter how long you’ve been a mom, you still remember the moment you became a mom. At Des Moines Mom our goal is to encourage and empower moms to be the best they can be. We realize some birth stories are celebrations and some birth stories are tragic, but we believe all birth stories are powerful and beautiful.

We partnered with UnityPoint Health – Des Moines to share five birth stories from local moms. They include two different moms who had twins, a mom who delivered early and whose baby spent time in the NICU, a mom who had preeclampsia, and a mom who wasn’t sure how she felt about becoming a mom.

Whether you’re a new mom, an experienced mom, or dream of one day being a mom, we hope you enjoy celebrating these birth stories with us.
