Director Nicole Gould shares: “We opened in 2009 with a goal to provide a great service to all of our customers whether they were 18 months old and joining us for tumbling classes or 18 years old and a top level competitive cheerleader.  Since then we have created a top notch program that has helped hundreds of kids all over the metro area and beyond reach their goals in tumbling or cheerleading.

Apex Athletics is a cheerleading and tumbling gym located in Johnston that is able to meet all your cheer, and tumbling needs. We offer safe, fun, and progressive programs in a state-of-the-art facility.

All-Star cheerleading is one of the fastest growing sports in America. The Apex Athletics staff is dedicated to making your experience exciting, positive, and fun in a safety-oriented environment.

Apex Athletics opened in May of 2009. Since then we have won 10 national championship titles along with numerous grand championship awards, sportsmanship awards, spirit awards, and community recognitions. Due to our success both on and off the cheer floor we have already expanded our facility once and continue to invest in your children. At Apex we provide the best coaching, the best equipment, and the best techniques in the metro area. At Apex, we concentrate on building the whole person. All members will learn the true meaning of team work and dedication, while gaining experiences that will shape their character and build confidence.

apex kids towerWhen you join Apex Athletics you are not joining a team, you are becoming part of our family. Each member of Apex Athletics is a valued part of our organization, from the first time cheerleader to our national champions. As a member of Apex Athletics, you will know each team member and every coach on an individual basis, no matter what team you are on.

We want to take the cheerleader to the next level. Not just their tumbling and stunting skills (which we work very hard at), but the cheerleader as a whole. We want them to be confident, healthy, educated, strong, and productive member of society. We do this by giving the members of our organization a strong support structure of both our parents and our staff.”

Apex’s “Hot Shot” Preschool Class

I was recently given the chance to experience Apex Athletics’s “Hot Shot” class for kids ages 2-5. My daughter just turned three a few months ago and absolutely loved her class. The instructors were so sweet, and I was actually surprised how well she adapted to all the somersaults, rolls, and the balance beam without having any previous experience with tumbling. After experiencing the class firsthand, I think jumping on a trampoline, doing somersaults and running through obstacle courses should be a mandatory, daily activity for every child and their parent. Its just FUN!

Whether you’re looking for a fun recreational program for your pre-schooler, or competitive cheerleading for your 15-year old – there’s definitely something perfect for you at Apex Athletics.
